During a recent visit to Winnipeg, my husband and I had dinner at your restaurant before attending a show at Gas Station Theatre. I have a gluten allergy, so am always searching out good eating establishments that are willing and able to accommodate this. I found your restaurant online, and was immediately impressed by what I saw and read. Since it was close to the theatre, I made a reservation. From the moment we arrived till the moment we left, we were completely, thoroughly pleased and impressed with the entire experience. The décor was lovely and comfortable, I could certainly see having a special party there for sure.
Our server, (I feel bad I can't remember his name) was GREAT--friendly, pleasant, accommodating, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu, especially since he was able to go through the entire menu and advise me on what could be adapted and what could not. (I overheard him doing the same thing for someone else, and I'm sure he must tire of doing this, but it didn't show in his body language or his voice.)
The food was AMAZING, even the seemingly small touches,...like GF bread...were impressive. We both found the entire meal to be delicious, right down to dessert.
My one complaint...that we can't visit you more often, only when we come to Winnipeg. Ha ha!
That said, I have added your establishment to my favouites when we visit. It had been a long time since we'd been to the Village, but I know we'll be back!!
