Out with the old and in with the new!!
I am really loving the newish trend in mixology in the last year or so! Shows like Madmen have really had an effect on the cocktail world. We are in the midst of changing our drink list and I am pumped to add some old school drinks like the Old Fashioned, Side Car, French 75, and the Blue Hawaii. It's nice to be able to offer drinks that taste like real alcohol instead of fruit or dessert or fruity dessert! These days everywhere I go people are drinking dirty Greygoose martinis and the Cosmo has retired! One of the best parts of my jobs is cocktail creation. I'd love to have a business card that " Senior Cocktail Creator". One of the girls I work with and I created a fabulous new drink for fall. We are calling it the Zenzero Vino. Canton ginger cognac, pinot noir, fresh muddled basil and a splash of soda and ginger! Wowzas!! It's going to be a fave, for sure!! Not kidding you...the best part of the job!!
